The Vessel

Singapore's shuttle,
zero-emission

The SHUTTLE 18E is a compact all-electric harbour shuttle delivered to a Singapore harbour operator — an 18.5-metre carbon fiber catamaran for crew transfer and shuttle services between the large vessels of a busy port.

Completed in 2026 within a ten-month delivery cycle and classed by CCS, she was developed in direct response to Singapore's Maritime Decarbonisation Blueprint "Towards 2050" — fully compliant with the zero-emission requirement for newly built working vessels in Singapore ports from 2030.

  • Full carbon fiber composite — hull, superstructure and deck
  • 2 × 125 kW electric motors, twin propellers, twin rudders
  • 720 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, CCS classed
  • 12 passengers plus up to 2 tonnes of cargo on the stern deck

Design Highlights

Compliance, built in early

01

Zero-Emission by Mandate

Developed in direct response to Singapore's Maritime Decarbonisation Blueprint "Towards 2050", she meets the zero-emission operation requirement for newly built working vessels in Singapore ports from 2030 — compliance secured years early, with carbon costs and retrofit risk avoided.

02

All-Electric, 16 Knots

Two 125 kW permanent-magnet motors drive twin fixed-pitch propellers. A 720 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery with BMS and energy management unit balances response against range — 40 nautical miles at full speed, near-silent in operation.

03

Carbon Fiber, Stem to Stern

Hull, superstructure and deck are all carbon fiber composite, and every item of equipment was selected for minimum weight — the light catamaran hull is what makes 16 knots practical on battery power alone.

04

Crew Change + Cargo, One Trip

Twelve passengers per voyage and up to two tonnes of cargo on the open stern deck, with quick mooring fittings for rapid berthing and unberthing — purpose-built for shuttle work between ships at port and anchorage.

General Arrangement

two tonnes of cargo

Wheelhouse and passenger cabin over twin carbon demi-hulls — engine rooms aft, tank rooms amidships, voids and forepeaks forward.
